This breed has now been involved in 11 deaths (including 2 children) since 2021 of course it should be banned.
And it is right that the owners face prosecution, Which has seen the owner in the latest incident yesterday being charged with manslaughter.

Would muzzle laws work? If not why not? Isn't this how they do it in Europe?
I know fuck all about dogs so happy to be educated.
Think the "its not the dog its the owner" argument has a point. But its more to do with the fact a lot of the people who own these dogs literally physically can't control them. Its all scrawny teenagers and "bully mums" up this way.
Surely compulsory muzzles in public would do the job, without having to go down the road of banning an entire breed? Cos that's gonna be a lot of animals put to sleep if this law gets passed....

I want a dog but don’t have one because it seems very expensive to be a responsible owner and also a lot of time and effort to really care for them which I honestly can’t give.
Which is why I scratch my head at how many scummers have dogs.

It was said on the news that one of the dogs in the attack was killed during the restraint. Somebody must have been very brave.

If they gave out proper sentences for the cunty owners (and i mean substantial prison time) that own these dogs these incidents would stop fairly quickly.
In fact the popularity of the breed itself would decrease too.

I'm sure you may find certain XL Bullys that have been treated like a normal pet dog and well trained and are ok..ish.
But they all look terrifying and i wouldn't own one if i had little kids in the house too.
Its the cunts that cut the dogs ears up that are the problem owners.. have all that type removed / destroyed and ban all their owners from future dog ownership.

and you need to ban the owners of idiots that cut the ears, as if they can't have an XL Bully, they will just move onto another bread like English Bull terriers and then we'll have a raft of deaths by that breed, rinse, repeat...

A woman walks one of these dogs in the local park normally with her daughter (9-10) in tow.
It's normally straining at the leash and she struggles to hold it
Apparently it's her son's pet and lives in a council flat
What could possibly go wrong

These fatal dog attacks seemed to have risen a lot in the past couple of years. The sooner this breed is banned the better, I heard an experienced dog trainer on the wireless only earlier this week saying he wouldn't go near one of these XL Bully's. Seems these types of dogs are a status thing for some people, shame that they don't attack their owners and do us all a favour.

A lot of these type of dogs are used to guard certain properties and rarely see the light of day.
There is no control whatsoever over dog ownership / breeding in this country with puppies being brought over in the backs of vans from Romania and advertised for sale online being one example.
Unjabbed unneutered Parvo disease increasing and rescue centres full of dogs that people got during lockdown and now have no time for.

Dogs are sufficiently complex mentally to need proper socialisation.
And some of them (all of them apart from the freak dwarf breeds) are sufficiently powerful that the failure of this socialisation is a fucking disaster.
I'm pissed off that my plan to get a dog when I retire is slightly under threat from the proliferation of people who think a dog is a accessory that makes them look hard
